I regularly travel from So. Indiana to Pensacola via Nashville and I65. Easy route. From about 30 miles south of Nashville all the way to Florida, run 90+ all day with no problems and hardly no traffic. I always make Pensacola in under 6 1/2 hours from Nashville. Waze and Passport Max2.Planning a roadtrip to Nashville from NW Florida - anyone know a good route I should take besides I-65?
Then drive less than an hour farther north to tour the National Corvette Museum and the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant. They're both really cool venues, especially if you've never been to a modern automotive plant. Plus, I want to see a picture of a GT 350 sitting in front of the museum, after you've crossed over to the dark side.
I appreciate that - looks like weather is rolling in up there next weekend so going to have to delay the trip. Never been to Nashville but i've heard great things. Super excited.I65 man.. best way. If you want to meet up with anyone just let us know. We're a very chill group of guys.
I live in northern AL and can speak for the road conditions here. you will have no problems as 65 has been repaved about 2 years ago. On your way to Nashville check out the Opry Mills mall for some shopping. Right across the street is Cooter's. Remember the Dukes of Hazards? http://cootersplace.com/locations/ it is owned by the actor himself. In Huntsville, AL on your way up, just a few miles deviation on I565 to the east is the U.S. Space and Rocket Center http://rocketcenter.com/ . and of course the NCM museum and track http://www.motorsportspark.org/ . This week is definitely a bad time to drive through as we are expecting crap for weather. : (I appreciate that - looks like weather is rolling in up there next weekend so going to have to delay the trip. Any cool museums or music/food spots you guys recommend in town? I took the Boss 302 Laguna Seca to Memphis last year and drove to Graceland it was awesome.
