Reverse camera Guide lines gone.

They just dissapeared one day and never came back.
They are the ones that move when you turn the steering wheel. were perfect for parallel parking in a tight spot without curbing a rim.

I looked through all the menus but got nothing.

It's under settings, vehicle, camera settings

You must activate the "Enhanced Park Aids" to show you the lines.
If activated, try to deactivate/reactivate it.

I have this same problem, i had lines but they disappeared. I go into Camera Setting through SYNC and do not see an option for "Enchaned Park Aids". Anyone else experience this? When i go to Settings > Vechile through the screen in between the Speedomoter and Tachometer, there is no where for Camera Settings?

Are you sure you have not accidentally enabled "manual zoom":

From owner's manual:

Manual Zoom

When manual zoom is on, the full area behind your vehicle does not show. Be aware of your surroundings when using the manual zoom feature.

Note: Manual zoom is only available when the transmission is in reverse (R).

Note: When manual zoom is enabled, only the centerline is shown.

Selectable settings for this feature are Zoom in (+) and Zoom out (-). Press the symbol in the camera screen to change the view. The default setting is Zoom OFF.

This feature allows you to get a closer view of an object behind your vehicle. The zoomed image keeps the bumper in the image to provide a reference. The zoom is only active while the transmission is in reverse (R). When the transmission shifts out of reverse (R), the feature automatically turns off and must be reset when it is used again.

Also in the SYNC3 menu options, there is an icon which I cannot recall the name at this time, but it has something to do with the rear camera too. If you have SYNC3, scroll through the menu icons and you'll find it.

Just checked on my car and yes, this "Enhanced Park Pilot" is not to activate the line, but seems to be only available if you have the backup sensors.

The lines are always available and can't find any option in Sync for that ...

Here some pics (simply adds a car on the top right of the Sync screen) :

Also to note from manual:

Note: If the transmission is in reverse (R) and the luggage compartment is open, no camera features will display.

The camera may not operate correctly under the following conditions:
• Nighttime or dark areas if the reverse lamps are not operating.
• Mud, water or debris obstructs the camera's view. Clean the lens with a soft, lint-free cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
• The camera is misaligned due to damage to the rear of your vehicle.

Note: Active guidelines are only available
when the transmission is in reverse (R).

Note: Upon a battery disconnect, the active guidelines may not be functional until your vehicle has been driven a short distance and exceeds a speed of 12 mph (20 km/h).

hmmm, that manual Zoom sounds about right. I will try and disable. I have rear sensor, i had them when i bought the car than disappeared.

no enhanced park aids in mine, it's a base too so no bells and whistles. It is zoomed out and the zoom function used to work but the buttons do nothing now.

I had this issue a year ago. Take the car to the dealership. Software change is implemented. Problem resolved. Mine lines disappeared & the camera was in zoom mode only. I did all the things prior to dealership including , battery reconnect. Warranty issue.:ford:

yea i will on my next oil change, still couldn't find a way to get them back. Guess it is something with the software.

Tell your Dealer to do the following:

Ford ETIS system >> look for BCM module.
Go to module initialization and proceed with download to update/fix BCM.
It only works when vehicle is connected to the Ford servers and it can only be accomplished by a Ford Tech at a Ford Service Center.
