This is a very very old thread (almost 3 years now), I've already lemoned the car, but not for this. I just noticed that when I had the seats folded down (I was transporting something at the time) the cabin got super boomy. RPM related, not road speed. It was never a problem as 99% of the time the seats were up. I just chalked it up to a resonance at the larger air volume.
and yes mine was a manual, but I think this thread got jacked with a different issue, the other guy makes no mention of the seats needing to be folded down to have a problem.
