Just out of curiosity, how many times do you guys redline your car everyday? Since i live in the middle of nowhere, I often go WOT (from 1-2 gears) about 3-4 times a day. I have an auto (3.55). Any negative effects by doing this everyday on the stock tune? (Assuming that I'm on top of my maintenance game)

as long as it's already warmed up & you're not bouncing on redline for too long (i.e. leaving it in a specific gear & just keeping it there), it's fine.

Just get a supercharger and you won't redline it as much.

I have an aftermarket tune that shifts the car at 7500RPMs. I think the stock 6800 is pretty safe.

I go WOT as often as possible, so redlining is not uncommon.

As long as the engine is broken in and warmed up and all fluids good, I don't see why that would be a problem.
Factory redline is pretty conservative.

The factory rev-limiter is there for a reason to protect you from doing damage!

How do you manage to hit it everyday? I guess I am old and slow, I have never hit it.

I got about 6,000 miles on my Ecoboost and I don't think I have ever been over about 4,800 rpm.

I would love to bring it someplace and really open it up and also use the paddle shifters for the first time which I haven't done either.

It's the only way I launch the car. 7k RPM clutch dumps where it at.

Rare for me, mostly when Im merging onto the freeway with open road.

If I recall right, red line in second gear is well over the freeway speed limit, people who say they are WOT in a 435 HP car on the road with other cars are idiot drivers. No offense... you guys need to get out on the track more, there is nothing like being on a circuit track in a car like this, 10 times funner then anything you do on the road and you wont kill people.

this is the reason why we have so many Youtube videos of people wrecking their Mustangs.

Won't this ultimately end up with your clutch in the dump? :D

Funny, when I do 7K clutch dumps, it just turns my rear tires into smoke and I don't seem to make any forward progress.
