Great. I was looking at the instructions for a previous version and drilling was involved. I am not yet ready to drill.

There is one hole that needs to be drilled, but only in the plastic battery cover. Another vendor here posted a youtube video of the install and Redline has it printed on their site linked above:

We only require one hole through the plastic battery cover for the top of a hidden bracket to poke through to attach the gas spring.

Exactly, just one small hole in a plastic cover. Very simple installation.

How do these affect closing the hood? I'm finding that I have to lower the hood to about 12-16" and then let the weight of the hood close it shut. When I try to push it close it never seems to catch.

These dont affect hood closing at all.

Its like a normal Mustang where you pretty much have to drop/push it from about 16 inches or more.

Did you see they had a PLUS and ELITE version? PLUS is black and ELITE is stainless. Or did you mean the PLUS version wasn't as premium as you were wanting?

Yes we have both the plus and the elite in stock. So black or stainless are what you can choose from.

The owner of redline and designer of the strut kits, is a ford engineer in Dearborn. Has set me up for all of my mustangs over the years.
