I ordered these 15mm spacers for the back hubs to move the OEM PP wheels out a bit (purely for aesthetics). I didn’t want them out 25mm. They come with the required longer studs.
My question is, after I remove the caliper and rotor, will I then have enough room behind the hub to remove the old stud and put in the new longer one without further disassembly?
Has anyone done this to their S550? I did this to my S197 and had lots of room.
Thanks for any input.

I can't say that I have seen that. Most do pp replica wheels with a similar offset built into the wheel, or another style entirely. 19x10 +35 is right there.

So, just my measly $0.02...while I think 1/2" out is an improvement, it's still not much and you run the risk of doing A LOT of work for very little return on your investment. Changing studs is certainly a D-I-Y kinda job (if you have the right tools), but that's a bit of work to end up not happy with your new offset. 25mm is about perfect. I've seen 25mm on a S550 car and it's gorgeous. I personally wouldn't consider less, especially for the work load. And then I'd question...are those studs long enough that if you're not happy, you can swap straight to a 25mm spacer???

Here's your PP1 wheel on a S197 car and 25mm spacer...perfectly flush; great look!

perhaps a different perspective? Because that looks like it sticks out by an inch.

Thanks for your input, certainly a beautiful car. I personally don’t prefer the wheels that far out though. It is a lot of work, but it’s a long winter up here and I enjoy these projects to shorten up the winter. I am doing 3 different projects at the same time, lowering springs, BMR lockout kit, and the spacers.
I put 15mm spacers on my 2012 S197 with OEM S550 wheels and was pleased with the results. Here’s a pic:

@Blufc3s OK, good. Yea, I hope I didn't come across rude; didn't mean to. Just making sure. And I totally agree, if it's worth it to you and it's the look you like, DOOOO IIITTTT! I'd do it for the project aspect as well. Isn't it great how good that wheel looks on these cars?!?!

Did you do any spacers on the front? Or leave it be? I need a 12-15mm spacer on the front of mine for an upcoming Brembo caliper project.

@shogun32 Ummm, probably a fair callout. The tread is flush with the top of the fender. I'd say the sidewall flex is just slightly outside, so yea. Perfect for me!

You didn’t come across as rude in any way. I appreciate all inputs and ideas. I am going to do the fronts, using either these same spacers as on the back, or some 10mm ones with some Dorman studs that are a little longer than stock. Here is a thread on doing it this way.

It appears I will have to take the hub off to do the back studs, CJPony parts have a good YouTube video on how to remove a rear hub. The good news is I will be able to put the studs in on the bench W/O putting any undue stress on the bearing.
