Prototype Ford Super duty catches fire

Testing in death valley with temps well into the triple digits, the super duty catches fire. Ford has acknowledged the fire and that they are investigating. I'm thinking/hoping the testing equipment was the cause. It's not unheard of for one of the many added sensors and monitors to short out and start a fire.

That's why there's prototypes. Hopefully Ford will be able to identify the root cause and make adjustments in time for production.

Happens to every manufacturer.

Yup. I would much rather it happened during testing than to average joe driving down the freeway in his shiny new truck.
