I messed up a couple of my stock lug nuts. What are some more durable replacements?

The stock ones seems pretty soft on the other portion.

Stocks are fine. No need to torq to 200 ft lbs just north of 100 will keep the wheels on the car. I've got the the tuner ones from AM. I've probably removed my wheels 10 times and never had any issues. You probably don't need tuners on stocks but check out their selection.

Are you using a 6 point socket?
Yeap...are the 12 points better?

Honestly, I don't need to change them as they can be safely installed and removed, but I know that about 2-3 of them the outer part is messed up. I might as well change them all to black.

Are the AM black ones more durable than stock?

The stock lug nuts are known to deform a bit if you use them much. Mine started to get difficult (sticking in the socket) so I've replaced them with Gorilla lug nuts from one of the popular vendors and they do seem a lot tougher than the factory lug nuts.

If you look, the outer part of the stock lugs is just a cover. Ridiculous IMO mine twisted up from a shop using an impact on them. Aftermarket lugs are much better.

I've had several of mine damaged by a Firestone and the Ford dealer, repairing nails in tires. I'll be buying a set of black Gorilla lugs soon. I'm tired of the shitty stock ones.

Also, someone said to torque the lugs just north of 100 lb/ft. The specified torque is 150 lb/ft. I would not torque to less than that.

I love my Gorilla "The System" lug nuts. Hold up perfectly and each of them is a lock. Plus they're large enough to cover scuffs on stock wheels and small enough for aftermarket wheels.

I just got the Gorilla large ones...needed something beefy to cover up the bare aluminum since the stock wheel are unpainted inside the lug nut well.

What is the part number of the gorilla system lug nut set you got?
