Hi guys,

Long time forum lurker, and now finally a S550 driver. I've waited two months minus one day for this girl, and it was worth it!

Coming from the European side of things, Audi A4, and E90 330i, I can't believe the fit and finish of a base mustangs interior. I test drove the Ecoboost as well as the V6, and boy am I glad I made this choice. What a fantastic, powerful, reliable platform. My reasons for choosing the six over the Eco, simple:

1. Direct Injection - Do not want to walnut blast every 20k miles
2. Bad luck with my FI Audi A4, turbo is simply less reliable based on my experience
3. low-speed pre-ignition, detonation, with possible engine failure (Yikes)
4. 300HP is plenty, and getting more out of the EB via tune voids factory warranty, not something I would ever consider.

I will go as far as saying, that I would pay MORE for the V6, I think Ford has it backwards.

Anyway I love the car so far, and already did my first mod at 20 miles. I've always loved the look of the 19" AP wheels, so I picked up a set, 18" Foundry's will be used for winter wheels.

On order I have Steeda Progressive, and Llumar F1 Pinnacle series tint this Saturday.

The last three pictures, I did have some panel alignment issues, but I decided to tinker with it myself. Enjoy!

What do you think?

Thank you! - I ordered them at the dealer because no one was selling locally.

P.S. I did not have the TPMS programmed at the dealer, and they showed up right away on the tire pressure display, no learning tool required!

A tune really makes the v6 feel like a different car. I recommend one for it

Perhaps after the warranty is over, but I will likely step into a GT at that time.

Good to hear, the car handles very well, even without PP.

I really hope they don't phase out the Cyclone, such a great platform!

I have the exact same problem with the trunk on the left side.
The trunk sit too high on that side. I am gonna try to see if I can lower it a bit more.

I just don't get why FORD didn't do a premium V6. for the average person 300 hp is shit loads. But some people want more gadgetry.... like me:doh:

Here I am saying this and just ordered a GT/CS :headbonk:

Anyway OP, good luck with your car. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Ford does have a Premium package 51A power drivers seat, 18" Foundry wheels, driving lamps and the GT rear spoiler. The 300 hp at the flywheel, 240 hp RWHP.

Congrats on the new V6 - welcome to the club! Love the wheels you put on -- I just upgraded from base wheels to the 18" base GT wheels (pics in profile). Small upgrades make a big difference in appearance. One year in and loving my V6 - it's a great motor. Enjoy.

He is talking about leather, heated/cooled seats and the upgraded SYNC though like you can get on the EB. Not really must haves for me IMO but some people really want that stuff.

Didn't the dealer fix the panel problem for you?
