I came here originally in 1998 on a two year tour, I left in 2000 and reenlisted in 2001 to come back to Germany for a 3 year tour, I'm still here :lol:
Where are you going to be stationed at? If it's near by I can help you out with some of the transition stuff all new arrivals go through.

I travel down to Stuttgart for work every few months, it's about a 2 hour drive in normal traffic, an hour and change on clear roads on a weekend if you are giving it beans!

I had a run with a MK7 Golf R, from a dig those things are deadly, I got him on the top end. Unfortunately for him he caught me while I was out data logging my E30 tune for Adam on the final revision, thinking I was out to play, which I was more than happy to oblige.

Those GTI's respond extremely well to bolt-ons because it's the same engine on the R with all the same deliberate detunning the ecoboost comes with stock. (Tune, downpipe, inter cooler). You will be running with me in no time, but the parts will be more expensive.
