Still struggling with wind noise. You cent get too close to these pipes, they overwhelm the mic, which leaves a high mounting position ideal if you could defeat the wind noise.

Any GoPro experts, I would love to hear your opinion on how to cut it down other than finding the ideal spot. I am using a foam wind sock and a chewbacca wind sock over that.

Today was just a test run to try and find a good spot that limits wind noise. This isn't the perfect spot, but not bad. Video to follow…

Okay, where? In the rear diffuser? ...and yes, it sounds AWESOME!!

Nope, believe it or not it was on the back window with double windsocks. I'm using a bluetooth mic and the signal is too weak to put it lower, but Im going to try something else tomorrow and see if that works.

Well my experiment today failed. You can't too close to the exhaust, it just overwhelms the microphone and breaks up. It needs to be mounted higher to get the full monty of sounds, but then you run into wind noise. Still one more location to try. Frustrating, because on the window worked well, but as soon as you are on the highway the wind noise just takes over.

:headbang:

ummm wow it just keeps revving holy shit
It does, and believe me I only really got on it once. The rest was just building up to it and in a taller gear than necessary.

Also a curious question to others, I have exceeded the 8250 "redline" more than once and no nanny limiter has kicked on…anyone else?

see to me thats over modulated, your not really getting the full sound…its overwhelming the mic. Since he is wearing a helmet cam, I doubt they used a wired microphone, but I agree they got rid of the wind noise.

I would love to know though. Anyone who attended these days, did you see how it was set up?

Haha. more to follow.

I have been sitting on this gopro for like two years. Going to pick up a couple more cameras and some other mounts. Im teasing it out like Ford.

Gonna be awesome.

Although I am already outgrowing the gopro studio software…any recommendations from board members?
