No GT 350s at the Scottsdale auctions next week

I've just finished searching all the consignment lists for the big collector car auctions in Scottsdale next week, and no GT 350s or GT 350 Rs will be for sale.

Considering the large premiums for both buyer and seller, it makes no sense to try and sell them there when there's a such strong market for the car.

Well the first 2015 GT350 was already sold last year so other than say maybe a 2015 GT350R there wouldn't be much. Give it a year.

With 6 auction houses selling cars next week in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area it surprises me somewhat.

With BJ having all no reserve cars I can certainly see why a seller would not use that auction house but between Russo and Steele, Bonhams, RM Sotheby's, Gooding & Co. and Silver Auctions I would have thought either a 2015 GT350/GT350R or a 2016 GT350R might show up.

Then again I suggest that most of the 2015 R models cannot be sold at this time and since there are very few 2016 R's that have already been delivered to their owners that would only leave the 2015 GT350 to sell at auction as was the case with Mecum last Saturday in Florida.

In any case I am looking forward to seeing what BJ, Bonhams, R&S etc. has for cars next week and hopefully we will all see a pre production Ford GT in person at BJ?

There's still no word on a new Ford GT appearing at Barrett-Jackson, but we know Ford will be there for its Ride ’N Drive. And, of course, there will be a charity auction to benefit JDRF on Saturday night around 7:30 for a Focus RS at no reserve - so there's your chance to buy one for only $1.

As far as there not being any GT 350s for sale at any of the Scottsdale auctions, I'm surprised that at least a couple early owners aren't there. After all, the only regular-production GT 350 that's been sold at auction brought more than double the MSRP ($115,000 at Mecum in Kissimmee, Fla., last Saturday). :shrug:

I would almost bet that the Ride 'N Drive at BJ will include 2 or 3 GT350's along with the usual Focus and Fiesta ST's, Mustang GT's etc. and who knows maybe an old 2013 Boss 302.:lol:
