Well guys I need some input. I have been debating on xpel vehicle protection lot or for the same price and protect everything just wrapping the whole car matte blue like lethal. With or without flat black stripes? What do you guys think?

Really two different things. Xpel actually provides protection, and self heals, eliminating worries about swirls and most rock chips.

Wrapping your car is only protecting it from environmental damage like bird crap, not rock chips. Rocks can and will rip through the thin vinyl wrapping.

Good info I personally do not know anyone with a wrap. The guy I got a price from said the wrap would protect but I wasn't 100% positive it actually would. Thanks for the response

My concern would be vinyl over vinyl and damaging the oem stripes. I personally would do the xpel.

Id say no to the blue wrap.. But I don't like matte colors on cars, and it's also a huge pain for cleaning.

That really only applies to matte paint.

From experience I can tell you matte wrap does not protect from chips, it will rip and peel off. Like shift said, it's mainly for environmental and appearance. Dark matte wrap does clean off well but if not dried properly will show water spots.

Remove the stripes and put on Xpel. I feel like all black looks really nice.

Will removing the xpel down the road peel off the stripes as well ?

If you still wanted the matte look, I believe Xpel makes a protective matte film that still gives you the protection but also gives you that matte finish, it would just make your paint have that flat look instead of a different color obviously.
