my car is new, so I am not pushing it too hard. But it feels powerful, relative to my old car, and makes a reasonably decent rumble, so I got to testing out the Track Apps, 0-60 timer.

I would spin up the 5.0 up to 4500 RPM before making a (soft) shift, and I was averaged around 10 seconds. And it occurred to me, that a Honda 4-banger with a CVT could keep up with me. :ninja:

I can see how an Auto version is much easier for beginners to beat the clock. Just mash the peddle and let the computers and torque converter do the magic.

You need to take your car to 6800 and qiick shift through to get a good 0-60. You should be able to get WAY under 10s on a 0-60 without even trying.
thanks. I want to put some more miles on my car before I wind up 6800. I was thinking that running the engine to 4500 was getting me 7.5 seconds, but its not even close.

Coyote does not come into it's real power band till round then.

I've seen 5 seconds flat with a sorry ass launch and some spin and hop. Shifting at 6800 or so. They are good for mid to low 4's in a perfect world.

How the hell do you get 10 seconds on 0-60? Lol

This is unheard of

Were there old ladies passing you on their scooters? :) Have not timed myself yet to be honest, but pretty sure I could do better than 10s... maybe that is why Prii are beating me off the line. :headbonk:

You must of been barley pushing that car. Worst 0-60 ive gotten was 7.7 and that was with me being slow of the line and shifting at 4000 with half throttle.

when I first bought the car I was babying the car, driving it very careful and I got road-raged by an aggressive gal in a minivan. I could see her gesturing wildly in my rear-view mirror. She floored it and sped on by.

Are you pulling a boat something? Perhaps your E-brake is still engaged.

Yeah.... 10 does seem a bit on the slower side.

My best so far.

Oh, and the track app is just a close set of numbers. I got a 4.5 using CT Speedometer.
