I have a 2015 Mustang GT with 37,000 kilometers, completely stock. Once the car is fully warmed up and the RPM drops to around 600, I notice a friction/rattling noise coming from the engine. Oil pressure is ok. Link to videos: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ADtAHPqcThvoBPPmwDkvddtpGjYNfBVS?usp=sharing.

I am new to Mustangs and Coyote engines, so I would appreciate any advice on what the issue could be and what I should check.

Take a stethoscope or a very long screwdriver and very carefully put it on the idler pulley(s) and all other serpentine connected items to listen to them individually by putting your ear on the end of the screw driver or listen w/stethoscope. Sounds like serpentine drive issue. Hopefully just an idler or tension pulley that is going bad.

I am experiencing a similar noise, it reminds me of the ignition noise in car speakers from
“solid wires” in the good old days.
Does your noise change/coincide with the RPM of the engine?

Yes, it definitely changes with the RPM. I can hear this noise once the car is fully warmed up (after idling for about 10 minutes) and the RPM drops to around 600.

I’ll watch the thread to see what you find.

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me, especially considering it gets louder when you move towards the firewall on the drivers side
