The mufflers are probably fairly aggressive, more so than the GT350 stockers, so to smooth and control the tone, resonators.Did anyone notice the 500 HAS resonators? You can see them in the red car being lowered. Interesting.

Hey now ...
I understood it more for the last one, as it was truly still a muscle car/brute, not a handling-focused machine.Hey now ...
Hahahaha, I was very curious if they'd do a convertible flavor (which seems to be a resounding no), simply because I'm a convertible guy. I also figured the previous GT500 was available in a convertible, the ZL1 and Z06 are available in a convertible - you know, maybe leave the R/carbon package/track options exclusive to the coupe (kind of like the 1LE).
The chassis S550 is pretty solid without a roof, but maybe in the context of 100 jillion HP, it would fold up like a taco
If Ford does build something to fill the gap missing from the GT350, like a CPC 5.2L NA car, with better than PP2 running gear, maybe they'll offer that in a convertible.
At any rate, taking bets on how soon we see a GT500 lookalike convertible (I realize that's dependent on parts, so I guess the bet is also, "How soon before we see knock off GT500 parts ?")
