Probably a dumb question, but I don't know the answer.

I figured out I can unlock the car by pressing the top of the door handle, so long as the key fob is nearby. That's great, and keeps me from digging the fob out of my pocket when my hands are full.

Is the reverse true? Can I somehow lock the car with that button? Is there a secret handshake? I can't figure it out and the Owner's manual is not very clear.

I believe you unlock the car by passing your hand between the door handle and lock it by pressing on the top of the handle. That is how I have been doing it. Hope this helps.

Lock by pressing ridges on top of handle

Hold your thumb on the ridges on top of the handle for about 1 to 2 seconds to lock the doors.

Unlock is actually activated when you touch the inside of the handle to open it.

It's all explained in the manual.

Also, on the keyfob, there's a decal with barcode on it. Are we supposed to remove that or do we need it to code the keys or something?

You can remove it. Probably a good idea. You must have that to get the proper replacement key if needed. I remove and put in the cars file for one and on spare fob for other.

Can you lock the doors manually (with the fob away from the car)?

I don't know about the honk, but if you look at the little light at the top of the door panel towards the rear, it turns red when the car is locked.
