I have a question for anybody who has laid eyes on the individual pieces of the front strut assemblies. I am changing my springs from the Shelby American supplied suspension back to factory springs. The generic image in the Ford catalog shows jounce bumpers on the front struts, but mine does not have them. I have the written directions for the suspension that Shelby installed and it does refer to reusing the bumpers but as I said they are not there. Has anybody noticed whether you have them from when you did the springs? Or, can anybody take a peek for me to see if you have them? Also, it almost looks like the bottom end of the dust boot may have been secured to the strut with a wire tie at one point. Does anybody have this, or are they just floating on the shaft? Thanks in advance.

Here is the Ford image I was mentioning

Boot seems to be attached, and here is a pic of mine. Happy to assist, but you will need to hold my hand, lol

I like to disassemble things.
Typical mag ride struts. Bumpstops are internal.

Jamie do you not like the spring setting from Shelby? It’s been reprogrammed as well right?

Thanks Andy. If you get another chance, a picture with the camera a little higher up would show if the dust boot is strapped at the bottom. I do not think it is, but at this point I'm invested in knowing for sure.

Thanks for the conversation today Tob, you the man.

When the spring pre-load is set to zero (spring tensioner left closed) they work brilliantly. Both handling and ride are excellent. Problem is the car is 1 and 7/8" lower and it hits everything but the lottery. With the pre-load added (spring tensioner opened) to match stock CFTP ride height, the ride is choppy compared to stock, but the handling is as good. Since I am at stock CFTP height, I much preferred the stock ride. Yes, they supply an aftermarket suspension control module with a custom tune to go along with the springs. I put my stock module back in.

Funny, I remember when another forum member posted way back in the beginning of my plans for the Signature Edition that the SA suspension was going to be 2" lower than stock. Everyone jumped on him saying no freaking way. Well, they were all wrong and he was in the know. I believed you Ron!

Held by 3 or more long dimplesEasy to pop off with slight force. No strap or tie of any kind.
Mine are the same way. I was surprised at how easy they can pop off. I might run a zip tie around mine next time I have the suspension out. I gotta remove my camber lockout screws and will probably swap my springs from CFTP to BMR.
