I had my shifter installed and have an issue of 1st, 5th and reverse popping out of gear. Anyone know why could cause this? My first guess is the center of springs are too tight but not sure. It doesn't happen all the time but in the 30 min drive home in city traffic it happened 8-10 times.

I've PM'd Barton but I know the forums are usually faster to respond so any help is appreciated.

XXX Motorsports in Pensacola. It was the first one they've done on an S550 and I showed them the install video. I'm pretty pissed now cause it's plainly obvious they didn't even watch it when they installed my shifter.

I'm taking it back to XXX tomorrow to fix it.

Issue was resolved. The mechanic installed the two shift linkage bushings in the Barton after some confusion with the video. These bushings were jamming up inside the Barton housing and not allowing the shifter to move far enough to engage the gears.

All is well now.
