Was getting the oil changed at my Ford dealer yesterday, and the Technician that works on all my Mustangs, Printed out some Specification paperwork for me. As I was reading all five pages that he printed out. The oil pressure is the one thing that caught my eye. Are any of you and your GT350/R show what Ford says it should be on this Specification paperwork? Just Curious!

For my GT350 is not at 10-15 psi it is a lot higher the that around 45 psi at Idel and that's at operating temperature.  John

Just posted a picture with it nice and hot after 100+ mph speeds, and it's at about 60psi and 220°F

Since my first oil change, the oil pressure has been a bit higher, cold has been 110 PSI. Once it warms up, idle is at 55 PSI, higher RPM is at 95-100 PSI.
With the factory oil, idle was at 75 PSI and higher RPM was at 90 PSI.

There is no way that listing is correct. Those oil pressure numbers are low for a beater 2 valve engine with 100K miles.

The only time idle oil pressure gets anywhere near that low is coming straight off track and idling. I've seen it go down to 15-20psi-ish when the oil is at 250F, but yeah, a good bit higher under normal street driving idle (when oil temp hits 210ish).

Looks like they just copy/pasted the 5.0 info, then changed the oil type and quantity. Only way the 5.2L is going to see 10psi is if its out of oil or someone put in the really thin stuff.. and then burned it all off.

I had my oil changed for the first time yesterday just shy of 1500 miles. It was the dealer's first time, too. The service writer told me, "I'm not sure how much the oil change is going to be on that car." I replied that I'm not worried about it since I already paid for lifetime oil changes. I looked at the preliminary paperwork and noticed it said "up to six quarts of 5W-50 full synthetic," at which point I remarked, "you know this car takes 10 quarts, right?" He laughed and said, "I thought my BMW was bad." Said he has a 2007 M5 V10 that takes 8 quarts of 10W-60. I didn't know they even made motor oil that thick.

I'd be less concerned about pressure than volume ... within reason.
