I'm going to try wiping it down and seeing if i can get a clean slate to see how it develops.

Any update on what could be the cause? I inspected my hoses bolts etc for a leak but nothing, it literaly looks like it is leaking out of the seam on the engine block.

Could it possibly be boost pressure getting into the crank case and pushing oil through the seam between the block and crank case cover? Check your throttle body and turbo charge pipes for oil residue inside of them also.

Yes , doesn't even need boost . One symptom of bad blowby or bad PCV system is gaskets leaking that are part of crankcase/valve cover .

One of the Venders mentioned the PCV doesn't close 100% under boost , so that goes into crankcase .
Also new engines don't use gaskets, it just silicon used in many cases and can seep a bit .

Clean your motor. It's a lot easier to identify a leak on a clean engine than it is through caked on dirt and grime.

So my car was at the dealership today getting the recall taken care of. I asked them to look at the spot I posted at the beginning of this thread. They claim this is normal. It's some kind of seals "sweating" from something to do with rear differential? They claim they took a bunch of things apart and there is no leaking. Not sure I 100% buy the explanation but I now at least have it documented in case anything comes of it.

Sounds like BS about the seals.

Could be BS, but maybe not. I brought mine in and they deemed nothing was wrong (like they always do). Wiped it clean and haven't seen it again.

Noticed the same issue on mine today.
