Is there supposed to be a tow hook in the trunk?

Just wondering if any of you noticed if your cars came with a tow hook in the trunk or not.
I see a spot for it under the air compressor but no tow hook.

No, it comes with the owners package (tow hook, brochure, gear set, etc.) a few months after purchase.

It’s from ford performance so you could call them and explain your situation or maybe the first owner might give it to you

Interesting... this made me look! Apparently my 2016 came with the tow hook in the trunk/spare wheel well. Didn't even know it was in there. Maybe at some point Ford discontinued it as standard equipment after 2016 because oh you know, Fords never break down or need to be towed...

Like others have said, Raceseng has a nice (pricey) one, and ZL1ADDONS makes a nice more budget friendly option.

Ignore the fact that Amazon says it won't fit a '22 Mustang. It does indeed fit the Mach 1. Plus, the one I got has welds that look much cleaner than @derklink's picture, so there is some variation in quality from hook-to-hook.
