South-west Michigan, 40+ years old, 0 at fault accidents, 0 tickets. Single driver with multiple vehicles (2017 GT350, 2011 Mustang GT Premium, 2013 F150 Lariat 4x4 - all paid off) and home owner insurance (house is paid off) through Farm Bureau with a FB Advantage discount score of 979, which the paperwork shows is entitled to a 63% discount (the highest indicated discount).
Full coverage on the GT350 with a $100 deductible for actual replacement cost was just over $1000 for 6 months - roughly the same cost as the 2011 GT and 2013 F-150 combined. In my opinion, the insurance cost is silly expensive (if I were receiving a 0% discount, that would put the 6 month cost at about $2700) considering that only one vehicle is driven at a time, but the cost is nearly directionally proportional to the increased sales price of the GT350 compared to the original sales price of the 2011 Mustang GT Premium. The GT350 and the Mustang GT are currently stored for winter, with just comprehensive coverage - $102 for 6 months for the Mustang GT and $290 for 6 months for the GT350.
I'm 34, the 350 is listed as my daily driver even though we commute together in the SUV. Our Torino has collectors insurance. All thru statefarm with home insurance, $1400 a year. This will probably drop quite a bit when the car gets insured back in MN - FL insurance is high, plus I'll probably be buying a truck again as a tow vehicle, so the 350 will be a non-primary car. 12k per yr mile limit currently.
Grundy $720.00 a year
44 clean record and live near Atlanta.
I had to shop it and ended up totally dumping Geico
I called them first and they came back with over $2k a year. This is with me having 3 other cars on a policy with them.
So to really find out your answer you need to only search in your state or better yet your local area. Even if you have a good record and you live in an area with more accidents or theft then your premium will be higher. Also if you live in a state where they have several uninsured motorists it causes it to be higher. I saw that one person mentioned there 350 was less than their Accord or Escalade both of those are in the top 5 of vechicles stolen. Food for thought.
These threads are always useless but nonetheless always get started by someone questioning their insurance premiums.
I'm a national agent for a major carrier and am licensed to sell in 46 states. Premiums vary greatly between individuals and areas. Credit is the biggest factor except for CA and MA where they are not allowed to utilize credit to determine rates. Area is the next factor, age, number of drivers, bundle discounts, etc.
It's like asking what you paid for you house. In SF $900k gets you a 800 sqft bungalow but $40k can get you 2500 sqft in OH.
If you guys want my advice on insurance go high BI limits, min $100/300k, skip med pay and some of the other "frills". And carry $1000 ded for collision. This the way to minimize you premiums.
620/6 months. Would have been 480/ 6 mo but I had a non fault fender bender a few years ago that was reported. Hoping it drops next year if I remember how that stuff works. I'm 29.
EDITED: 100/300/100, loaner, no roadside, $500 deductible. Progressive. Bundled with renter's and multicar. Liability only on the 07 Civic.
The GT350 is listed as being about 1000 of that 1630...the Roush definitely has a cost to insure advantage; you do have to be careful to insure the Roush portion of that as well, as a VIN explosion will just show a Mustang GT, but Allstate (3 independent sources: our agent, corporate, and the agent at the dealer) confirmed that as long as the Roush window sticker is in their system it's fine.
Age , deductibles , limits , use ,driving record and other insurance with the company determine your premium. Without this info you can't compare policy premiums.
