I recently received my insurance renewal and to my surprise, the cost to insure my GT350 went up $200/year!! I purchased the car back in November of 2015, and still have less than 900 miles on the car, as the quote I received limited mileage to less than 3000/year. I called the agent, and was told they increased the mileage use to 5000/year; but, even if it were to be changed back to the 3000/year, it would only save me $60/year - so where is the other $140!!! I asked her to contact the company, but have not heard back. Anyone else experience an increase in their policies?:headbonk:

All of my policies crept up incrementally. The GT350 price delta was in the noise compared to my GT (despite a 40k delta in value) so im happy

My insurance was definitely more than my 15 GT/PP but as krt22 mentioned it was in the noise.

My quotes were $821 per year for stated value from Grundy, no deductible, no mileage limitation.
Regular carrier is West Bend Insurance - $1,454 per year. $500 Comp, $1,000 collision deductible. Then you have normal wear & tear depreciation from there.

I will go with Grundy. Don't drive it 5 months out of the year anyway.

My total bill to add the GT350 to my policy was an additional $400 for the year. I am expecting some type of increase on my next statement.

Mine would be an extra $300. What's weird is my 14 GT500 was cheaper than my 15 GT and my driving record hasn't changed. I guess the average GT500 driver is an old guy who keeps it in a garage and just drives it to car shows.

I was just quoted $1,333 annual to cover both a Porsche 911 997S and a 2016 Shelby GT350. Florida /500 dollar deductible/ Full coverage. This seems very reasonable. If I were to just cover the Shelby it comes out to $742 annual.

I put an agreed value of $61,000 for the Shelby and $45,000 for the Porsche.

Will be costing me $10/ year more than my GT PP to insure the Shelby .

I'll be paying $590/year

Perfect record, up to 5000km/year , $ 250 deductible, agreed value $63K

Many insurance companies have been increasing prices due to GAP raping the snot out of them and more drivers not having coverage getting in accidents. This is according to my friend who works for an insurance company. As a result, GAP as an option is dropping from many carriers and rates have gone up for most drivers over the last few years at an abnormal rate.

:eyebulge: I'm betting you're making monthly payments.

BTW being 49 yo does help with the premium.

The point and your age don't help, but geographical location factor in as does the cost to repair the car. Im sure California itself may have a bit to do with it. Since the GT350 uses a lot of proprietary parts, costs goes up.

I am 25. I pay 126$ a month for my GT350. Clean record. 7500 miles a year limited. I would shop around

Yikes! Mine is less than half of fthat. I'm 31, 1 point, 4 cars all 2014 or newer. Might want to talk to a broker, certain carriers end up being cheaper for various reasons
