IAT Reading

I've noticed that once the engine is warm the IAT never seems to get cooler than about 20 degrees above ambient. It is the same with the stock intake or the JLT. On my Boss once it was up to speed IAT was always with a couple degrees of ambient, even with the C&L open cone intake. In fact at highway speed the IAT reading was often a degree lower than the ambient gauge. I wonder if they put the IAT sensor in a different location on the 350.

Mine too. Always 5* above ambient. OEM intake (which, imho, is as good as an aftermarket one)

Same here. Unless you get some heat soak and then it takes a little while to get back to the 3-5 degrees.

Stuck in 30 minutes of traffic crossing the GWB and part of the Cross Bronx Expwy. had my intake temp at 122 on a 70 degree day. After traffic mostly cleared up the intake dropped to about 90. This was after approx. 20 minutes. It appears there is a lot of mass to cool down after heat soak.
