Hey, it's show off time, me too me too:

That is an AMZAZING color. I shopped for about a year so my color selections were limited as I was seeking a comp version with a slick top ( carbon fiber roof) and manual seats with less than 35K miles. I would have loved your color, mine is a 2001, what year is yours?

May or may not have crossed eastern Oregon at a very high rate of speed in that thing ...

I watched the Savage Geese review of the M2 Comp and it sounded street car fun but less fun on track potentially. He said it's really tail happy and constantly wants to oversteer.

I love the size of the M2 and I think BMW manual transmissions are great. However, for me the turbo straight 6 is a massive downer. If it were less expensive (like Mustang GT price or lower) I would probably own one, but at the cost a straight 6 doesn't compete with V8 noises I can get with a plumper American car.

I like BMW interiors, but for me that's a smaller factor compared to engine noises.

I can tell you that my GT350R, at least, has graced a few BMW forum pages. I am not a fan of brand snobbery, and most enthusiasts know a good car when they see one. As I've said many times, I thought the GT350 was better than an M4 at similar or less money, so I bought it. The fact that I've been a "BMW geek" for 20+ years really doesn't or shouldn't matter.

Agree on the straight 6 turbo noises. The NA straight sixes are excellent, especially at high compression and uncorked a bit, but the turbos are a little meh. Hard for anything at any price to compete with a GT350R at full tilt when it comes to sound, though.

Hi,
Surely you mean 2011 ?? I mean a 2001 would be E46 :)

Mine is a 2009, and I wanted something with more color, all my cars were gray or black until now...It was love at first sight.

So this popped up last year around October in Pennsylvania, immaculate paint and under 50k miles, I jumped on it. I got it a bit cheaper as it had some issues (adaptive lights malfunction - needed a new light computer; tpms errors - new tpms sensors needed; central locking not working - new battery in remote, doh).

I did not care about carbon roof, I wanted a sunroof for cruising in summer and such; this will be driven mainly by my wife, but it's mine, I told her, just to make it clear :)

Cheers

Yep, 2011 sorry! Nice find by you, well done! I had just sold my beloved 2000 M5, with 246k miles on the original clutch. An awesome car, I was ready for something newer and more modern. I did not want DCT, but have grown to really like it for everyday driving, so It has been a great find this far. Be well

Nice! I love the 135i , but they are hen's teeth rare in a good condition. I was looking to buy one for my wife, but asking price when I was shopping around was 22k ++ for a nice one, and all were DCT.

That, and the fact that most if not all were older, N54 based engines, and I went through the ordeal of replacing both turbos in my 335xi 2 years ago , put me off... For a few thousands less I got a nice M3, and as much as I love the 135i... you get the gist :)

Cheers

I had to put a clutch in it shortly after I got it as the PO had ragged it a bit (lots more power than stock). That was a beast of a job, and even with the gearbox out it seemed like the turbos would still be tough to access! Very tight packaging. But man, on boost - what a treat. This was back in 2015, but I did pay ~$23k for a car in overall outstanding condition (except clutch wear).

Someone want to tell me what this is, I forgot.
I work for BMW quite a bit and spotted this. Owner bought new years ago and brings it in for service annually but really doesnā€™t drive it. Kept everything as it was delivered.
The factory roll cage matched the anodized gold on the wheels, breathtaking.
Or were they painted? I donā€™t remember.

This car was a 140k dollars when new, you could get 2x GT350R's for that money... It's also slower on track :)
