Hi GT350R Experts :-)

Is there a difference of the GT350R rear carbon fibre part number

old Ford part number HR3V-1A145-NB and the current Ford part number HR3V-1A145-NC ??

Please help before I make a purchase of HR3V-1A145-NB

was there a recall of HR3V-1A145-NB and replaced by HR3V-1A145-NC ?

The only change I am aware of is a subtle update to the shape of the lug seat lip. I don't know if that correlated to a different part number.

Too many folks using an impact tool to tighten the lugs (first generation CF wheel) resulted in lug nut collar cracking. So, CR redesigned a slightly more robust lug collar. The original design is fine. The redesign simply added to the (sufficient, if torqued correctly) engineering safety factor.

Thank you Dr. JL

do you know the new generation wheel with the more robust lug collar has a part number of HR3V-1A145-NC

Call Carbon Revolution directly and inquire, if you have concerns. There are two front CF wheels for sale on eBay with photos of different part nums. I see a thick lug collar front wheel with part# HR3V-1A145-MC (looks like an M to me) and an older lug collar front wheel with part# HR3V-1A145-NB. Who knows. I'm not rushing out to replace my original wheels. I have 12.

Thank You, I did call Carbon Revolution and they do not have any insight or information of the Ford part numbers. I also called the local Ford dealership parts department and they were not able to assist. Then I call the Ford corporate parts support and they did not know the differences of the 2 GT350R carbon wheel part numbers. I have a 2016 GT350R and the rear wheels have the MC part number. What year is your GT350R and what part number is on your wheels.

My spare set are FR3V-1007-MC/NC (f/r). I’d have to lift up my 2 Rs to check those nums. PM me for more info.

There are 3 CF wheel adds in the GT350 for sale section you can see the difference in the shape of the lug seat lip. I wonder which lip is the updated style?

When I called Carbon Revolution, the updated lug seat was released in the 2017-2108 timeframe but they did not have the part number as Ford assigns this information, they redesign this area since people using impact guns were over torquing and cracking the lug seats. Make sure when you have someone service your GT350R to insist to hand tighten and torque to the specifications of 150LBS - do not use a impact gun......

Thanks. I have had two plugs so far and have brought the wheels in to the tire store myself for the work. I try to avoid what you're talking about as much as possible.

I was just wondering which lip is the newer style? They're clearly different in the adds.

Original style (like what came on my '17 350R from the factory) - note the lug seat comes to a conical-like point with a very thin flat bezel

New style: like the replacement I got for my damaged wheel in 2020. Note the lug seat is a bit thicker and the flat bezel is much wider.

By re-doing the work of looking up the for sale ads referenced above myself (again), rather than you doing that same work of which I assume you are also capable, here is what I see on the box labels:
Original:
FR3Z-1007-R and FR3Z-1007-S (Can't tell from photos which is front or rear)

New:
HR3Z-1007-G (Front wheel)

Neither match your original question, but I'm betting the H is the distinguishing letter.
