I contacted an online OEM retailer of Ford parts to ask a few questions regarding the GT350's exhaust system. They told me they can order it for me and the price is about $1500 plus shipping. My question is, would it fit my regular 5.0? Everything pretty much looks similar after the catalytic converters.

hmm looks like drivers side of the GT350 has a flange on the headers

Those headers will likely create a radical change in the exhaust note

Don't see why the carback section wouldn't fit since they have to run the pipes the same way, but the header section could be trouble. $1500 isn't bad though to have something that sounds so good! I wonder if that includes everything for the electronic valves...wonder how big of a pain those would be.

Seems like I remember a picture taken of the underside of a GT350 and it looked like they had a larger diameter x pipe and then went back to standard size .

looks like the xpipe might also be a resonator as well judging from the pic

It is, I can bet it'll fit. Just not the headers section. This might be my next upgrade.

i mean how much different does it sound from the frpp sport in person? Never heard the gt350 in person. I didn't get to witness them firing up the 350r at mustang week.

You can't compare what a GT350 sounds like compared to a GT. That flat plane crank is loads different in exhaust note.

judging from the video...and im merely taking a guess and ive been watching tons of vids... the closest thing to the GT350 exhaust note would be Corsa Xtreme catback. ive heard it blowing by me by a buddy of mine and im always chasing him so ive heard plenty of the corsa. i have not heard the 350 in person. yet.

Any information on where you found it? Inquiring minds want to know, because there is a huge interest in quad tipped exhausts, judging from the thread on corsa.

Even if the headers bolt up, you would lose power on a Coyote, The flat plane crank Voodoo has a radically different firing order than the cross-plane crank. Your exhaust scavenging would be all screwed up. That being said, I would love to hear how it sounded.

I'd definitely be interested in this from the cats back. I would run some longtubes designed for the coyote rather than the voodoo headers.
Longtubes and the GT350R exhaust. Can you imagine what that would sound like!
