Your motor was built on Monday Feb. 4th 2019 and it was the 11th motor built that day.

Engine signatures
Seems like many of the GT350 engine signature badges on the 2019 engines are being signed by one person vs the historical team approach with two signature. I have a 2019 R and it only has one signature and many of recent cars posted showed a similar pattern. Any good reason or change of policy that can be linked to this...or is it just another little unexplainable quirk.

Engine is original. Maybe abreviated REP. = Romeo Engine Plant
Makes sense! Maybe they changed the sticker design for 2019? I kept reading it as "Replacement" and I was hoping your 2019 hadn't eaten an engine already! :whew:

2016 GT350R, GR407. It doesn't consume an aberrant amount of oil, and posts clean UOAs after ~6000 miles including track days.

Please post pictures of your Engine Identification Tag along with the year and type of GT350.

Car Build Date (label on drivers side door jam)
Shelby Number: (J1234 or JR001)

I talked to a Friend who's Brother works at Romeo Engine Plant. I asked about the Engine Identification Label
under the drivers side coil cover towards the rear of the engine on the valve cover.and what the codes all mean.
Here is what he found out.

REP = Romeo Engine Plant
5.2L - displacment
GT350R = Engine Group

H=Year A= (Any revised changes to the Design for Model year)
555 = Engine key code (Calibration code)
AA = Revision (AA,AB,AC so on)
(Think of this as a process or procedures plan)

EF0AA = Romeo Plant code
Engine Build Date (Julian Date) 220 (unsure) Sequence Number (Built that day)

Here are some Samples
2018 GT350
Using the 2017 GT350 engine Design plan no revisions
Engine Build Date of 1/10/2018 and the 19th one built that day
3BMBN8K.jpg

2019 GT350R
Using the 2019 GT350R engine Design plan no revisions
Engine Build Date of 12/12/2018 and the First one built that day

He would not or could not tell me if there are differences between the two engines
he did elaborate that there are some calibration changes but did not know what
that meant. Could be due to the Removal of the resonators, or some snake oil used?

What I see looking back thru all the tags pictured is that all the ones with REP have the 555 engine key code (calibration code) and all the 557 ones have Romeo Engine Plant spelled out.

Noticed the same. I bought my 18 R with 7 miles on it. The pic of the sticker is way back on page 2. REP must be the abbreviated for "Romeo Engine Plant" on 555 motors. Also noticed that replacement motors seem to be R 555 motors and all 19 MY motors are R 555 motors. So, from MY 19 on there truly shouldn't be any difference between a regular 350 motor and an R motor from the factory.

I dont think there is any difference in the build of the motors or replacements and they dont tag them as replacements. Thats just my opinion.
