Last month I made 2 trips to Florida for a week each. 1st trip we rented a new (100 miles) Mustang V6 conv. and the 2nd trip we paid the $90 upgrade fee to get the Gen 5 Camaro conv with 18k miles on it.
While I do like the look of the Gen 5 Camaro the new Mustang is the better looking car inside & out. At 1st I thought Mustang trunk was small until we got the Camaro who's trunk isn't much bigger than a glove box.
I drove about 500 miles on each. Not sure if I got a dud but the V6 in the new Mustang was pretty gutless compared to the Camaro V6. The Camaro also got about 2 mpg better. Handling & braking was also better in the Camaro. With the Mustang being so new & the Camaro being well broke in that may of been a factor.
So many Mustang & Camaro convertibles in South Florida. We saw about 2 Mustangs for every Camaro
