On order, GT350(non R)widths/back spacing, in gunmetal... Actually they are the open lug with cap, but couldn't find a correct picture. The reasoning for the standard wheel is classing in the SCCA, and having to have the same width/offsets (stock classes) and 1/2" more really won't mean much IMHO.

PLEASE don't take this the wrong way and I am over 40, ok north of 50(smiling), so I am old school and not a big fan of the black wheels?? I get the brake dust issues having autocrossed for 8 years-ish, and I know it look sinister, but.... We all have different tastes and I respect some like the black,,, all good

However, after looking at hundreds of pictures, and deciding between bright silver, gun metal and graphite, I choose the gunmetal. Weights should fall in around 20 for the fronts and 20.5 for the rears, so I am told.

Shift, will do but it will be 5 weeks-ish prior to getting them and will likely opt for some other tires? But will update pictures

and thank you:)

Boardkat,

Thanks and appreciate your humor. Yes, pricey, but I'm not getting any younger and... :-)

12" sq, serious rubber for sure. What class does that have you in? I know my platform is different but if your ok with sharing some alignment/challenges with your platform I'd appreciate it. PM if inclined.

chilly 5 degrees here this morning, two months or so to go until some spring flowers, ok maybe a bit warmer weather:-)

I too am going the GA1R open lugs on my 2016 magnetic GT350 track pack. I decided to go 11x19 front and rear and use the GT350R Michelin pilot sport cup 2 305/30ZR19 all around. But I was told the other day that cortex racing is working with Forgeline to make the GA1R open lugs in the GT350R 11x19 front and 11.5x19 rears. I called them yesterday but they were closed.

Voodoo,

congrats :clap2:

Do you plan on autocrossing and if so, would you like to share some alignment thoughts? I have some initial thoughts on where I will likely start. If you choose, please PM me...

I am at disadvantage on what 200 tread wear tire to choose from, the SS Michelin's or RE-11's, both not nearly as good as the cheater tires:paddle: in the RE-71's, but not available in 19's, argh. I ran The super sports on my C6GS I traded in pretty successfully finishing 1st in class, but in the mid teens in PAX in the Steel City region, because of lack of grib ;(

I wonder if a 325/30 will tuck in on the rear in the super sports or RE-11?

Great choice. How much weight approximately will you be saving off each wheel?

I'm told the wheels are around 20 -21 pounds for ga1r open lugs. I'm guessing 12 pounds or so per corner.

I just got off the phone with Forgeline and talked to Steven, he said they are in the works to make a 11.5x19 GA1R wheel but said he's not sure how soon it will be but he took my number and said that he will keep me posted. I'm going to wait and see when and if they do release the 11.5x19 GA1R open lug before I buy. I'd rather have the GT350R size set up. He also confirmed that the 11x19 GA1R open lug is 21 pounds. That's about 12-13 pounds lighter then the GT350 aluminum wheels each!

I called Tirerack about RE71Rs. Was informed our sizes are slated for mid-'16. Until then, Im probably going to run RE11s. According to Paul at N4S, 325s fit in the rear. But I haven't seen photos of 325 in the rear to confirm.

C7 B8,

I know of the re-11's and in the S2000 I ran the Derizza star spec(several sets) and thought they might be on even par with the re-11 tires? I can't compare the super sports to the re-11's. Do you feel/have knowledge of the re-11's being better in grip than the super sports? I can whole heartedly confirm the super sports wear VERY well!

The GA1R's are absolutely my favorite wheel. Wish I could afford them... :(
$1600 / wheel???? Seriously?? I am not that knowledgeable about suspension setups, and I realize these wheels help in the "unsprung weight" aspect of the car. But wasn't the GT350's suspension designed to work
with the current wheels - will these new wheels require suspension changes in order to maximize the potential of their weight savings? Changes were made to the "R" model's suspension with the addition of the carbon fiber wheels. I love the looks of these wheels, but that is a huge chunk of change.

The GA1R is a badass wheel. I actually just confirmed the fitment offset specs Voodoo exactly as I told you I would run it is the same fitment they are using !

Also was informed their working on the 11.5 as well no eta currently.
