Your car looks great! Mine is black also and I am back and forth on blacking out the badges or keeping the little splash of chrome. They look good either way with though.

6.4L is an awesome engine. Although it doesn't appear to be any faster than the Mustang, at least in manual transmission. Is this a limitation with weight, tires, or both ?

Interesting. Even with my 93 tune I got brutally beaten by a Scat Pack Chally on the highway. Surprised you went from that and a Golf R to a Mustang, but to each their own!

It has that new car wax and detail going on :headbang: Now if I can just manage to keep it this glossy!

Getting out of the gate in the 6 speed SP can be a tussle; where as with the 8-speed you do a low rev launch and from there simply keep it floored. Pretty big 1/4 mile difference in manual vs auto in the SP or SRT models. It was the same though with the dual clutch Golf R and 6 speed manual. You had more engagement obviously with the manual but had no chance of keeping up with the DSG.

That's pretty wild considering how much heavier they are combined with you tuned. The Golf R with the JB1 tune was a complete sleeper that ran low 12's and high 11's with bolt-ons. It shocked more people than I can count :D

I really missed the raw V8 power, sound and menacing look of a murdered out muscle car. That and the crazy good deal we got on this GT made it an easy decision. Everybody loves the blacked out look on the S550 and it's just a fantastic DD. I'm use to high boost applications (where a little lag is just unavoidable), so the throttle response in the 5.0 is just phenomenal and the top-end pull is impressive.

Love the R too. Just got back from WINW a few weeks ago. Fun ride.

With a tune and the DSG, they are shockingly quick.

Saw a Stage 2 APR Golf R run at the local drag strip.. had to change my pants after. The guy ran high 11"s consistently. All he had was a tune, cat back, and upgraded fuel pump. Completely took me off guard. :hail: Welcome to the forum btw! Nice ride as well!
