Was vacuuming out some beach sand from Ponte Vedra Fl :sunglasses: and saw this

It's a foam block of some sort. Thinking it had to come from above because of gravity, perhaps it's part of the convertible top mechanism.
I searched diligently on the passenger side of the convertible top both partially and fully retracted and didn't see a matching piece. Not seeing this in online
Ford parts catalogs.

That leaves possibility it came from under the power leather seat, maybe under the dash and it blew to where I found it, etc.

Not even 100% sure it's from my Mustang, but based on where I found it going with the theory.

Thanks

I’ve had my interior out of the car more than once and never seen such a piece. I don’t think it’s part of your car.

Packaging materials? Sometimes when you buy something, the packaging might be lightweight, with the product held in-place by something top and bottom.

A coaster-like item, to protect a surface, from a modest pole mount (beach canopy?).

Or just a random bit one picked up, either in gear getting back in the car, wind or sticking to someone.

Thanks everyone. Concur now it's not off the car. Could be something off my equipment or some weird wind event where it blew in from the parking lot perhaps.

Thanks.

I've found a few weird things in my car. Items that could only be packing material from assembly line components.

That looks a very similar material (including size and shape) to the piece that’s on the back of the decklid panel - I wonder if Ford use it elsewhere for sound deadening / anti vibration etc (back of door panels etc) ?
