Meanwhile I ordered the american Ecoboost decklid from the site you mentioned, using Stackry. However I wasn't so lucky as DHL messed up... :frusty:

Congratz! This is like the first S550 Ive seen with a proper rear window alignment, dito for the rest of the cars body alignment... it's possible after-all!

Btw, thx for posting the steeda strut tower brace pic, been looking for a long time to see how it looks on the ecoboost.

For the decklid, if the shipment was insured, DHL should cover your replacement, get in touch with them, send pictures and don't stop bothering them until you get your money!

The front panels have a very good alignment. In the back it's slightly worse, in the truck and in back bumper, but the only really poor alignment was the rear decklid, if you pay attention, the gap to the left tail light is much wider than the right. That was already corrected, not perfect, but much better.

About panel alignment in general, I guess there were so much complains about this that in MY2016's the quality control must have got much strict. It's still no match for a german or Japanese cars (I have both), but really can't complain.

About the decklid, shipment was insured, but it actually it was a low value, because of customs issues... :doh: However, I'm dealing it with Stackry, not DHL, as I paid my money to them, not DHL directly. Very poor response by them, actually, last time they said anything was the 13th July, "your claim has been submitted". If I don't hear something soon, I will open a paypal dispute.

However, GT 350 steering wheel shipment was painless, it costed me something like 380€ all shipment involved, no customs issues (declared as used steering wheel from accidented car ).

I had the same issue with the rear decklid... had it aligned by ford garage ;) now it looks good and closes also smoother
