I start this thread to list all the patient European fans that finally have received their 6g Mustang.
I'VE JUST PICKED IT UP TODAY!!! AWESOME CAR! AWESOME
UPDATE 1 (August 2nd)
The only issue I've found is a small misalignment in the brake light. Similar to Notes picture. I'm starting to think that its this way. I haven't seen a perfect straight brake light so far. Anyway, it's not a big issue.to Sauron, Felixger and Notes
now that you guys have their car in their hands, did you made an inspection on the so often here mentioned alignment issues?
Please inform us, like many buyers over here in Europe, we are anxious to hear or read about it.
My first impressions:
After the first 500km on highways and secondary roads, average fuel consumption is 8,8l/100km. Quite good. I've been driving under speed cameras limit (130km/h), but putting the pedal to the metal in every acceleration.
Car response changes quite a lot when changing to Sport+ mode. I'd say that even the sound changes. Not sure yet. Sound is quite good. Better than i expected.
Seats are quite confortable. But getting in/out is not so comfortable due to the small space between the wheel and seat "ears". As always happens with sport seats.
Trunk surprisingly spacious. Same in front seats.
Sync2, nothing new, slow, but it works.
Driving it in general is amazing. Acceleration, awesome.
People all the time looking at it, taking pictures... I'll have to get used to it.
I'll keep writing my first impressions.
UPDATE 2 (August 7th)
More pics of details:
Window sticker of Flat Rock: "World Class vehicles built by World-Class People".
Dimensions of rear seats. I think my height (175cm) is the limit to be conformtable on them. When I'm sitted my hair touches the window. So, maybe too close for bumpy roads. Anyway, rear seats definitively are not ready for people taller than me. Only for short trips. Rear leg space is not a problem unless someone taller than 185-190cm is sitted on front seats.
Rear headrest is too low for me. Although it would protect a little, as you can see in the picture, it lets my head move back quite a lot. Its position is goood for people shorter than 170cm.
Pictures of the famous misalligment in the rear brake light. In my case, it's not a big issue. It's so common that I'm starting to think that it's normal.
Engine:
And its first bath ;)
More details:
Back at night:
Pony projection perfectly defined. Not as in some first units sent to Germany.
The non-premium leather. Good quality.
Driver screen:
8" screen with GPS coordinates. ALthough I didn't include Navigation, these coordinates mean that hardware (GPS antenna) is installed, so maybe we can enable it just installing software.
Internal movement sensors. Great surprise. Although alarm was only perimeter type, I cheched that also volumetric alarm is included.I can be enabled/disabled by wheel buttons.
I've some videos, but cannot upload them until I come back home.
FURTHER ISSUES:
- Sync2 is able to play vieo, but no RCA input is installed in the Mustang.
- Sync2 works perfectly with CD and SD cards. Some compatibility issues with USB drives. Very good Bluetooth compatibility with Windows Phone mobiles. Only Applink apps don't work, but just 6 apps are available in IOS and Android so, not a big issue.
- Sync2 has WIFI, but for what?
- Full tank, 633km according to on-board computer.
- Muy car has 33km when was delivered.
- Windows can be opened remotely with the key, but not closed.
UPDATE 3 (August 8th)
Sure dude! Ask what you want!Hi Sauron!
Can I ask you a couple of details pics and info please?
Since I'm waiting for a non premium EB like your:
-Do we have the extra sub woofers in the trunk?
-Can you post a detailed and near pic of the aluminium dashboard ? is it true metal or plastic?
-Do we have the MyColor option?
-Except fo the gauges, where are the ambient lights?
-Pic of our door panels?
Thank you soooo much in advance!!
- No extra sub woofer. Just 9 Shaker speakers in my version. But some extra space in the trunk in exchange
- "Aluminium" dashboard is plastic in my opinion. Or a very rare aluminum type.
- Yes, we have MyColor setting that can be used in ambient light and in gauges. Different colours can be used.
Ambient light illuminates this three areas:
- Door panel
Here you have it!I want the Accessport too!!!!!!!!
Trunk interior not covered as its usual in Europe.
UPDATE 4 (August 19th)
Short video of the start up. I've tried with various cameras and this is the one with the most similar sound to the reality. The real sound is even a bit louder tough.
As you can see, it starts loud (5 seconds), then it decreases a little and after 50 seconds, it reduces again.
UPDATE 5 (August 24th)
After 3000km, average fuel consumption is:
- highways: 8,8l/100km = 11,3 km\l
- mixed: 9,5l/100km = 10,5 km\l
I also uploaded some videos to show Ecoboost's internal sound and another one showing a redline run. Both recorded last weekend.
UPDATE 6 (September 17th)
After 5000km i keep being in love with my Stang. No problems so far and everything works perfectly.
I've recently removed both plate holders and the car is even more beautiful now. ;) Recommended.
UPDATE 7 (February 2016)
More pics after 10000km
