I asked the same question in other section of the forum before....so please don't flame me for repeating the question. This seems like the right section for trackies...

Are you using 5/6 pt harness with factory Recaros? (Shoulder belts will prob be mounted to watson racing rollbar or harness bar by TBD.) If so, how are you mounting the sub-belts. If not, stock belts or 4-pt? Love to hear your rationale too.

I am going from a prepped GT (fixed back seats, rollbar etc) to keeping GT350 all stock for HPDE.

Thanks!

What Anthony said. Don't run a harness without a sub belt and less it has "ASM" tech built into it. Seriously, this is important. Scroth is the go to company for this type of harness.

Thanks Gatorac and Anothony. Between Schroth ASM set-up and "sit on sub-belt" method (see photos attached), which method is safer? The latter seems to be popular with the BossMustangOnline dot com guys.

I don't think you will find that type of set up shown in any of the belt manufacturers instructions. It is advised you stick to installing belts exactly as shown in the manufacturers instructions if you want them to work as designed.

Actually you will find several harnesses installed that way and they all fit within the design parameters set by the manufacturer. I don't like it either.....I think its weird.

PROFI F-MODELS
The anti-submarining strap routing over the upper thighs and
attachment to the shoulder belt latches with the buckle in between,
does not provide a direct load path from the shoulder belts down to the
anti-submarining strap anchor points. The indirect routing requires a type
of preloading of the anti-submarining straps during a frontal impact. This
is achieved by sitting on the anti-submarining straps, routing them
rearwards and attaching them in the region near or on the lap belt
anchorages.
This anti-sub strap design requires sitting on the straps or having a thin
seat panel allowing the straps running rearwards right underneath the
driver’s buttock.
