Factory paint bubbling

Anyone else? Car is always washed. It is sealed and waxed every 6 months.

Got some bubbling under the paint. Car was built Mar 2015.

Ford is taking care of it but who else has seen it?

Two spots on the hood. It looks like both developed under the hood and the crept up around the edge to the top. One in the front of the hood and the other on the passenger side.

Service Manager said Ford is is going to authorize a repaint.

Yep, aluminum hood corrosion.

I had it on my early production 15. the worst of it was at the front of the hood on the underside. Some small spots crept up and one spot under the hood cracked the paint. The corrosion seemed to stop growing after a while but it sure irked me.

Well Ford has owned up to it and they will have the car for 3 days to repaint it.

Ford just called.

They are replacing the whole hood. After really looking at it the whole hood is doing it on the bottom near the edges. Glad they are replacing the whole thing free of charge.

they are doing right then, afaik the hood has to go once it has the corrosion. Mine looked similar to yours

I have it on my 15. Was yours covered under warranty or is there an extra warranty period for corrosion? I dislike taking my car to the dealer for anything save major drivetrain damage which has not happened. Likely should have taken care of this if I do end up selling the car i some at the hood edge

Straight warranty work.
