Here's the report and the overview

After reading that: I can imagine that Ford must have lowered the front on the facelift based on this, since the only dangerous area for pedastrians is the upper edge of the front :(

Have you read the statement below:

This assessment of the Ford Mustang is based on the vehicle that has been on sale since 2015. Ford has informed Euro NCAP that orders placed after May will receive an updated vehicle, which will be launched later in 2017, and will be equipped with Pre Collision Assist (with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking) and Lane Keeping Aid.

Autocar's article seems to suggest so although they mention September as opposed to May.

Ford is launching a Mustang facelift for 2018 that will be available to order in Europe from September of this year. It confirmed that the updated model will add several safety features, including Pre Collision Assist - with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking – as well as Lane Keeping Aid.

Wow impressed with how it helps lessen the impact of the kid dummies in the backseat!

With the beam test (pillar), you can see just how fast the mustangs that have been torn in half must have been going. It had to have been a phenomenal speed!

Yeah that sounds quite credible. So now we can blame Euro Ncap for the failed redesign

Anyway the report repeatedly states that the facelift models gets autonomous emergency braking and once it also mentions the other systemes as well (pedestrian detection, forward colision warning and lane assistance). This at least suggests that AEB will be standard which is a good thing as it is the most useful of the four.

Now let's hope they also have the sensibility to add adaptive cruise control to the option list.
