I have Stainless Works Catted Longtubes and have heard mixed opinions on whether or not I need to re-angle my O2 sensors for E85. Some people have said that there's no need to do so with cats, and others say it's a necessity.

I don't plan on running E85 often because I can't find it locally. However, I want to fill up with a tank of E85 so I can get a datalog over to Lund for them to review, and experience what the corn life is all about.

Would 1 tank of E85 burn out my sensors?

I'm running Kooks without cats and E85 95% of the time. The fronts are angled which is best and the rears are parallel to the ground which isn't the preferred way. They are stock sensors and should be changed out about every 20k for those of us running E mostly. I have zero issues with mine and I'm on Lund as well. Yours will be completely fine.

I think Kooks are the only aftermarket brand of headers that don't require the O2 sensors to be re-angled.

I've ran 3 tanks of E85 thru my Corsa headers. One tank will not burn the o2 sensors out.

Sweet, thanks!

I just watched an install video and it looks like the O2 sensors on the Corsa headers are parallel to the ground as well. I'll give a tank of E85 a go.

Ive put a couple thousand, all E85 miles on some SP longtubes without issue. I talked to a couple SP and SW owners with way more miles and they all said they were fine as well.

I have Stainless Works headers and I chose to have the 02 sensors moved so that they were angled similar to the Kooks headers simply to avoid possible issues. The shop that installed the headers and moved the sensors said that they have not had any issues, nor have they heard of anyone fouling the 02 sensors with E85. They are a very reputable shop that primarily works on Mustangs.

For me, it was worth the additional $150 to have the sensors moved and prevent possible issues.

I'm going to fill up the car with a tank of E85 this weekend so I can get a datalog over to Lund! For everyone who posted above, thanks for your help.

If any other SW/SP header owners haven't had any issues with E85 and stock O2 sensor placement, please comment.

I've got Stainless Power catted headers and have had no issue with e85. I've put a few thousand miles on e85 and everythings still good.

So far, I've run 1.5 tanks of E85 WITHOUT re-angling the O2 sensors and haven't had any issues. I'll continue to update this thread.

If any SW/SP header owners have any experience with this, please continue to respond. Thanks to everyone who has contributed already.

Interested as well. I’m running SW without CATs and have wondered this as well. We have e85 all over the place.
