After spending half a day greasing the mower yesterday, I wanted to give her a good degreaser bath. She came out cleaner than I expected especially considering she is eighteen. After that I decided to wash my poor golf cart which had been abused over the last couple big projects and she also cleaned up better than expected.

I had a '14 Race Red 500 before the '20 and hence the reason for the cart colors and stripes. This was shooting match transportation for a number of years until I gave up the sport and now, she is lawn transportation. :-) But she is sorta kinda a Mustang.

Finally, a shot of the two vehicles...

Your car looks good with those wheels.
Rapid Red varies in color quite a bit depending on the amount of available shining upon on it.
Ours seems to, anyway.
Nice looking golf cart as well.

Ok, so we have established that it's acceptable to detail a lawn mower and a golf cart. But the big question is, does the same apply to a chainsaw? Asking for a friend...............................

Helluva job, D and the saw looks almost new. Funny, but I was just changing the blade on mine yesterday when I realized the chain I picked up awhile back was too short. DAMMIT. :-)

So that chainsaw spent the last month getting it running again after many, many years sitting idle. The new bar makes a world of difference in how it looks, vitally important on a chainsaw! :giggle: I have a couple of cosmetic touches to add and I will be happy. Considering this is a 34 year old machine, I think it looks half that!

HOLY SMOKE...34! Wow. Now I am REALLY impressed. Did it need a new carb?
When I took it in, I basically said to do whatever it needs. It looks like they just cleaned and rebuilt the original Walbro carb, which is probably a good thing as the aftermarket carbs are not that good in terms of accuracy and quality control.

I feel ya, D. Learned my lesson leaving fuel in a lawn tool over the Winter, wound up buying a carb. Run 'em dry is the prime directive now.

Got a little low over some indians and I'm thinking they didn't like it much, no tolerance haters.

In the days of leaded gasoline and such, I knew of people putting mothballs made from Naphthalene in their gas tank. It was on old trick to raise the octane level. I asked a few of my friends recently if they put mothballs in their dad's lawnmower tank... None admitted to doing it... I ask the question here... lol. (No, I didn't because my mother didn't buy them.)

That machine was actually stored with fuel for a very long time, as you know, a big no-no with small engines. When I drained the tank, I was expecting it to be rank, but it still smelled like fuel. I'm still shocked at how well it runs now.
