I miss the PP2 a bunch but these kind of prices for used cars will not last.
I don't know, with all the free money being handed out there is a thing called inflation. Hasn't hit the new car market...yet.

I’m leaning towards keeping the car as of now. The dealer may make me an offer I cannot say no to
though.

If he can't go under invoice pricing like Zach can at Granger, then no deal. I walked away from a local dealer that wouldn't budge off MSRP and said I was "lucky" they weren't marking it up for me. I ordered with Zach the next morning.

Well I did sell my PP2(LOVED IT) but getting a couple Grand less then what I got it for about 2 years ago I could not pass up. We leased an Explorer ST which will be my wife's and pocketed the $$$$!! Now I will take my time as I debate what to get. GT350, GT500, MACH 1, Roush Stage 3, pre owned 911 and others.. I miss the PP2 a bunch but these kind of prices for used cars will not last. Hell I might even get a PP2 again. Who knows. I do struggle with the Mach 1. If I did that I would be in the same boat but in 6 months(just tossing a number out there) they might be going for 3-4-5 grand under sticker?? Then it would probably be in the garage. I go in circles with what I want non stop which is free so that's fine. 911's I have ALWAYS loved as well and I know I could get certain ones I love and probably sell it for what I bought it for or more in a year or 2. Looking is fun though and I am enjoying it.
I just spent two years owning 3 different 911s, including an 18 GT3, I now have a 21 Mach 1. handling package, Tremec 6 speed, that is my favorite car so far. It reminds me of the big block mustangs I had from the late 60s. I have an allocation for the new 992 GT3 that I think I will pass on because I am enjoying my Mach 1 so much!

jeeps, select Toyota’s have already seen an msrp increase in 2021 from early Jan to (now) the trickle that’s coming on sold to made customer orders. Not enough people paying attention as too many people are focus on the used side. Once new cars comeback in late Q4; you’ll see a increase across the boards.

Now is a good time to trade for a new one. Great trade and so far no mark up on new.

depends, less manufacturers kickbacks /rebates. Dealers aren’t willing to move off prices and depending upon what your trading in, carvana /car max / privately sold might be an option. People get caught up that their car value is never higher, while
True so is the entire market. Better time to sell than buy. Trading in, sorta a wash in most cases.

it’s all in marketing… msrp will go up but so will rebates to offset cost (during certain time period promotions). So really, simple put: it’s about timing and not rushing in.

I also find it interesting Ford isn't allowing any press cars to be used for any track time AT ALL.
so it's not just Ford CA (nee ThrottleHouse)? I didn't think Ford could get any more pathetic and disingenuous.

Well I can't find a single posted time on any track from any journalist period, so while MT may have been allowed to take it on track and talk about how it drove, no comparisons are being allowed it would seem. Unless I'm wrong and someone has other information.

Can you transfer the 992 allocation :? You like a Mach 1 better than a 992 GT3 ? I call bullshit on this. The Mach 1 will run 2-3 laps overheat tires and brakes 992 GT3 will rev to 9000 rpm for 17 hours straight and will be asking where is the Mach 1. Comparing a parts bin special car to a 992 GT3 is insane.

For me a car is about what I enjoy the most. Last year I had a 20 992 911S that was crazy fast, but not near as much fun to drive as the Mach 1. I had an 18 GT3 (pics attached) that was an awesome car and would outperform the Mach 1 in every way, but not as fun to drive on the street, which is where I drive. I don't track my cars. I have enjoyed owning 25 mustangs, from classic to modern, there is just something about the DNA of the mustang that I enjoy, may not make sense to you, but my car ownership is about what I enjoy! My 21 Mach 1 reminds me of a 69 Mach 1 that I had about 20 years ago (pic below). Have a great day and enjoy your car, based on what you like!
