Damn! Not even a week old, 100 miles and on a flatbed!!

Damn!!!!!

Was a few blocks from home last night and hear a nasty grinding/rubbing sound. Got home, checked everything visually and everything looks OK. Back up out of the garage this morning (To the normal Thump of reverse) and back down drive way. Hear the noise again, and go to shift into first to go back into garage.....Nadda. It will not engage in any gear including reverse now!

Called road side assistance for a tow...100 miles on the odo....

Clutch, shifter or transmission. It's hard to say for sure from your description. Probably needs a new transmission.

One of the members had an internal tranny bolt that worked its way loose. Turned out to be a vendor defect and Ford replaced the entire unit.

Hope your issue gets resolved quickly.

My buddies 350 has a transmission replaced before the dealer ever sold it as it wouldn't go into 2nd iirc.

These shifter is remote mounted but uses a rod to actuate.

My money is on incorrectly assembled clutch or one of the hydraulic cylinders though.

Well sucks but the good part is you are covered! At 100 miles it fair to say this is probably a part defect or incorrect build. GL and keep us posted.

Seems like Ford still has some problem with the output flange.
