Cracked x pipe

Have you guys ever seen this happen before?
Ho procharger, base pc tune, stainless works longtubes, pypes m80s in place of stock resonator and no mufflers.

Those welds.... is that where the headers meet the x-pipe? Did they weld the header connection pipes to the x pipe?

Yea it was welded on there, I'm thinking that's were the issue was, idk.

No kidding, I can weld better than that with my feet. My guess is the the X pipe didn't line up so the shop forced it and welded it into place. That crap weld held causing the X pipe to fail.

That x pipe was there before my longtubes and instead of recutting and making everything fit they just welded where it was at. Sucks but I had little choice as it's my Dd, and I had to leave to work out of town later that day. I'm ordering the magnaflow x pipe muffler and taking it to another shop.

Definitely get that welded area swapped out.

Dude do not get the magnaflow xpipe.Its 2 pieces of stamp steel pressed together.My has blew out on both sides after only a year old.Imo its a very cheap xpipe.If u can look at one before u buy one and see what u think.

Dam Tommy thanks for the heads up. Would performance be affected if I get rid of the xpipe and just weld straight pipes to the back.

Oh Tommy that's what I have right now the magnaflow x pipe, it's the one that blew. I was thinking of getting the x muffler.

I have a Borla Type S (quad). Mine had hairline cracks as well but Borla took care of me and warrantied my xpipe. They had another one to me in 2 to 3 days. Great customer service. Oh... and they said that xpipe i have is the old design. They redesigned it so that would not happen again.
