Hello,

I'm currently running Niche Misano 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear wrapped in Nitto Invo 275x35x20 front and Nitto Invo 315x35x20 rear. I'm having traction issues even at 100mph and think its time to find more traction.

I'm looking to buy a 20x8.5 and 20x10 setup and wrap the rear in Nitto NT05R 305x35x19 and front in Nitto NT05 245x35x19.

Should I go 275 in front? This car is mostly a street car (not daily driver) and I drive for pure pleasure but need to do some things to increase street traction to better handle 1000wheel hp.

Can you tell me if I should go 245 or 275 in front and why?

bump; any chance you guys can help me understand a good setup to help with traction on the street? This isn't my DD but I live in FL and could possibly get stuck in the rain some day. So I want to be able have a DR with some longevity in it but something that will hold 1000hp.

That said, should I got 19x10 all around? Any benefit to wider tires vs. narrower on front? I made a mistake buying the rims/tires I have as the darn replacements for my rear 315x30x20 are 370 each for NT05R while 305x35x19 are 265 each. I just don't know what size tire to run up front for decent handling/street manners.

Thanks in advance yes I'm researching but can't decide what to do

Thank you

You like these better than nt05r? I'm also buying rims so debating everything how wide of rim how tall etc.. i know i can't go smaller than 17. Can an 11 inch wide rim fit on the rear? I know a wider rim will help plant the contact area of the tire better right? I don't want to flare the fenders or anything but want to set my car up for best looks/ comfort/ most of all performance. I like small solo highway pulls and don't want to be spinning/sliding out of control

Just go wider. Most popular option is 10" front, 11" rear. Up to you whether you go 19" or 20", but offsets should be +35 front, +50 rear. Then run 275 and 305 tyre widths.

Thank you. Now to find best price on some rims, and manufacturers that have these side rims that i like the style.

Appreciate the advice. Thoufht when i bought current rims few years ago was told 10 wide is too wide for front.

Nah it's fine. FWIW I'm planning 10.5" for the front on my next setup, but that's subjective whether it's too much lol. No issues whatsoever with 10".

I think I saw a really good price on the P51 rims the other day for Black Friday. Not sure if you like that style, but I think it was like $1100. If I were looking right now I'd pounce on them, unfortunately I can't find the thread though

You know that wider won't give you any more grip unless you alter tire pressure, right? At say 32 psi, the contact patch between a 285 and a 315 is identical area, just different shape.

You need better tires, not wider. Also, nothing streetable/tire that can be used in rain will put down 1000 hp, especially not in 20". You should be looking at 17" or 18" rears for that, and even then it'll struggle at that power. You're simply looking for something that doesn't exist.

My recommendation is to put a 17x10.5 on the back and get some 315/45R17 drag radials. MT Street SS or NT05R. Neither should be driven in anything near standing water.

Legit question, not being an ass haha - why not detune it a bit for the street? People on here post about 1st-3rd gears being practically useless with 600whp even with good tires. I can’t imagine trying to plant 1000.
