Changing from 15 to 18 cupholder

Does anyone know the part number for the 18 cupholder? I was at the dealer wasting time while my car was getting inspected and noticed that the cupholder has spring loaded fingers to hold the drink in place. On my 15 the cupholder is a little bit sketchy because a can just flops around in it. Does anyone know if this is a direct replacement or is something changed in the underside of the console that would prevent it from bolting up?

Thanks. Mine has nothing. It's just a molded rubber piece that does nothing to hold anything in place. Maybe its a 15 only thing. I'll have to look on ebay and see if I can find one out of a wreck.

I believe it is a 16+ thing. I think you can buy the newer cup holder and it bolts from underneath to the console. I remember looking it up before but I didn't believe the cost was worth it.

There is a good console removal video from MGW that shows a good way to remove the console without breaking the clips.

Yeah, I've had the console off numerous times but was unsure if anything was changed in the mounting of the new design cupholders.

After some searching, it is indeed a 2016+ change. The part numbers are below for both base and premium.

GR3Z-6313562-AC is for the base model and is 174.88 from ford
GR3Z-6313562-BB is for a premium model and is 234.35 from ford
