The driveshaft, and actual replacement body panels is all that should be CF. And upon installing said CF body panels they are immediately painted back to body color. LOL . Glad you guys love your addiction to each their own, but I'm with Z06psi. less is more.

Don't get me wrong. I have four CF items in my interior. Console, door switch plates, and around the dash plaque.

They are all accents to the Alcantara and other soft touches. My dash panel is wrapped because Ford did a shitty job on the "Engine Turn" 1970s crap.

Nothing in the engine bay and nothing on the exterior. Oh and I do have a CF driveshaft but that is more functional than anything else.

.

How are you saving weight or adding strength by adding a carbon veneer to existing parts?
Thanks for knit picking. Obviously I'm not talking about the interior. I have a carbon fiber hood and there is a good bit of weight difference.

What's ricey about weight savings and strength?

Thanks for the joke for the day.

2morrow where did you get the interior CF? I really like the shift knob and steering wheel. Might have to get them soon.
The knob is a Ford Performance unit. The Steering wheel is a custom piece from Beith Performance parts. The part number for the knob can be found on my build thread.

I want that wheel in green CF. Would look mean in a Bullitt.
That steering wheel come with an orange CF by chance?
I need a grabber blue CF weave... Would be a killer accent on a GT350 steering wheel and shifter.
I had Beith Performace do mine, you'd have to contact him about any other colors.

Since he first did mine in red he has done a few others, notably a sweet looking red cf steering wheel AND bezels for a Hellcat.

I have something else he made for me on its way soon :ninja:

I want admit to being a carbon addict too. I slowed down as I am near the end of modding this car lol. I don't have any good pics that show everything else I have in carbon fiber. Here are some riced out pics for the haters.
Wow, now that's a lot of cf. Very impressive.

The Q50 came with real CF mirror caps and tail lip. I like some CF stuff, but if it didn't come with them I wouldn't have added them.

Cf should be an accent. Not a theme.
I think the interior is pretty damn boring so anything to spice it up a little looks good. Hell, I think bright red leather seats and door panels is way more loud of a look than carbon fiber but to each there own. Both can look good though. W

Hell, we both know a lot of people don't like air suspension but we did it anyways

Hey Eric, Erik here and also from the Chicago suburbs. You ever go by Strats?
I used to be there every week back in my sportbike days. I live less than 10 mins from there now so will try to get there a few times for car nights over the Summer.

I figured this would be a polarizing thread for some.

Everyone's got their thing. For some, it's a bagged ride, crazy camber or a pair of snails. For a lot of us, it's composites.
