Bottom Line ....

Is that we all like Ford cars and thats why we bought one. Am a car guy and I have driven cars from different manufacturers and various models, each one was special to me for different reasons. Each one setup differently for a specific purpose. drag strip, track, cruising and just plain transportation.

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 390ci

1967 Chevy Impala 350ci
1968 Chevy Impala 350ci
1973 Chevy Impala 350ci

1978 Pontiac Trans am 400ci
1985 Pontiac Trans am 305ci
1989 Pontiac Formula 350

1989 Honda Accord
1992 Honda CRX

1994 Jeep Cherokee
1999 Ford Mustang V6
2005 Ford Mustang GT

2010 Ford Flex

2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium Lighting Blue

We each purchased a Ford Mustang with a particular price point and features we wanted and a specific goal in terms of modding. 2015-2017 owners got what they wanted at the time they made their purchase. Like I said before if you got a fat wallet, like the 2018 styling and changes then go for it. What ever makes you happy, its not a competition until you get to the drag strip or track or car show. Until then its all academic. Some of us just enjoy owning a Ford Mustang and there is a pure honest joy in driving one every day - at what ever speed you want your journey to go at. ;)

I'm happy with my '16 PP. Plan on keeping it until Ford makes a lighter Mustang. Until then, no point in buying new, it's still overweight, maybe even worse than my base '16 and the cost to trade far exceeds the cost to upgrade my car to equal the '18 performance.

And if the next generation is lighter but has no V8 option, I'll be keeping my '16 until it falls apart.

Not Butt Hurt, actually glad for Ford and future owners. We live in a new golden age of performance and it's cool to see.

I love my 16. It looks like sex on wheels, It eats up other cars on track and the color/mods on it make it a 1 of 1. The PP2 helps as well...

However, I can see that others are Butt Hurt so I included this form to help the healing process...

Nothing to process bud - like I said before I enjoy my 2017 Ford Mustang GT and had the chance & the money to purchase a 2017 or 2018. I picked the 2017 for a number of reasons. Of which I don't need to rehash over again. You 2018 guys and gals need to drop the butt hurt comments, really you sound like kids at Christmas making comments about how much better and newer your toys are.

I drove a 17 PP, liked it. I'm waiting for an 18 to try. If I think it's worth the price for the "more fun", if I do indeed have more fun, I'll get the 18. As it sits now it's about a 10K difference so that's a lot of "more fun" I better have.

Ok guys, I thought I'd start a thread so we can vent, complain, cry, deny or anything else we might need to do to feel better about the recent performance of the new 2018 GT. I'm sure the moderators do not want any more negative front end comments but that's pretty much all we have at this point!
Hmmm??
No Butt Hurt here either.

If I was about my '17, I'd go trade tomorrow.

By the way, I have the title for my '17.

Do you have yours??????:clap2:

I have a 15 gt with headers and a flex tune, so I should be close on performance. I would love to have the 10 speed auto, never have been a fan of the auto in my 15. Coming from a BMW 335I, their auto transmission was far better than what my car has. Sounds like the 10 speed is just what the Dr ordered. No sure if i'll upgrade though, my car is getting close to being paid for and it's plenty fast. It has full coilovers and lightweight rims and mpss tires. It took some work and $$ but I got it about right.
If people start getting low-mid 11's on just a tune I may have to trade up!

I have no problem dumping this 2016 manual grind/rattle box for a 2018 A10.

If you're butt hurt that you purchased a car you knew was going to be replaced by a faster/upgraded platform in 3 years you deserve it.

Could not be happier with my 17 GT PP.
It is the exact color and options I wanted.

Must admit I really like those LMR 1/4 mile times.
It's a car not an iphone, I can't upgrade every 2 years.

There's really no reason to be butt hurt. Every year cars get better or get new features. The 19's will be better than the 18's and the 20's will probably be better than the 19's. It's the way things work.

Love my 16 Ecoboost. It was the car I wanted when I bought it and the best available at the time.
