Like the title states, what would be my best bet for tires on stock axles?

Right now, I'm only running a catback, 285/35/19 Nitto Invos out back, and BMR performance springs going on next week.

I've thought about getting a separate rear setup just for occasional drag use. I've heard bias ply slicks are the way to go on a manual and that drag radials are better suited for the auto guys. But am I asking to blow up my axles on slicks?

I have been using a 28x10" Slick on a 17" rim. They are much softer on the drive train than the drag radials.

Yes I do.
Have you gotten a chance to run with them yet? I'm assuming these are tubeless right? Just mount and balance and good to go?

So it sounds like slicks are the better choice for a manual, as the drag radials will put more of a shock on the driveline? I really don't feel like doing axles just yet, I've spent enough on it this year lol.

Launching around 4000-4500, slipping slightly. I really don't want to snap shaft. Even though I have a lower 60' with slicks than I did with NTO5r's it hits softer. Going to try 4500-5000 launch tomorrow.

You guys talked me into it, time to order some slicks and wheels. Does anybody have info on how the car goes down the strip with slicks in the back and stock tires up front. Also any suggestions on tire pressure, burnout routine, shift points, best place to get tire/wheel set up or any other info would be much appreciated.

Bias ply's will wag the rearend a bit but not scary bad.
A lot depends on the pressure you are running.

I recommend the Hoosier's.
