Dismount the wheels and coat the face and barrels with a high quality coating - there are tons out there. I have been using the Opti Coat 2.0. I bought up a bunch when they said they were going to make that a dealer only product and doubled the price.

A solid coating makes the brake dust fall off with virtually no scrubbing and it should last 6 months to a year with even high heat conditions.

Dismount your wheels every 6-12 months and reapply the coating? O_O

I'm a new Adams Polishes fanboy. They recommend using a liquid paint sealant and maintaining it with guard and gloss. I have them on order and will post results afterward, but I'm sure it won't be as durable or effective as a ceramic coating.

I had my car coated with Modesta a month ago. He coated the wheels and brakes with C Quartz. He wanted everything to fully cure so I drove around in a dirty car for three weeks. Last week he came to my house to instruct me in performing a swirl free wash. The hydrophobicity of the coatings is amazing. When he hit the wheels with the pressure washer the brake dust just ran off.

Guess it depends on how fanatical you are about the cleanliness of your car. A middle ground would be to just coat the faces of the wheels. It really saves time once you coat the wheels. You can literally get all the brake dust off each wheel in a minute or less.

If you dont want to coat your wheels, Sonax wheel cleaner to start and then warm soapy water w/ a quality wash sponge for wheels only and then dry. Also I use a wheel brush for working in the corners and lug pockets. When I get my 6GR wheels I will get them Cquartz'd over
