Looks like 2- 2015 Tech Packs went for $65k and $64k last night. One black and one white/blue. Really thought these would bring more given the year.
The GT goes up tonight. It is owned by Ron Pratt who donated the car to a charity for the auction. Should be interesting to see what it hammers at.

I don't think that's terrible... Were u thinking more because of the limited numbers of '15s? Do u know how many were made? I have no intention of selling mine anytime in the near future but I really hope they discontinue them or at least stop the fpc after the '18 to keep it "limited"

For 2015, 37 R models, 50 Track Packs and 50 tech Packs were made.

SERNO 1 of the new Bullitt sold for $300K at BJ last night - proceeds going to charity.

Did you catch the “at least 475 HP” comment? Should be a nice car. I want one so I told my wife it’s her next car, she says ok lol.

I wouldn't expect them to go for much just because there were few made that year. That's really all the 2015 has going for it - being able to say you have one of the early ones.

Yeah I thought more because of only 100 for 2015. Wonder what the MSRP for the Bullitt will be?

The fact they were Tech pack cars may not of helped either. I wish Ford did a little more for the car for the 50th anniversary of the 350.

As Bender pointed out, it’s the less desirable of GT350’s, so rarity alone won’t necessarily then make it desirable. Even if they only made 1 that year, I wouldn’t trade my R for it. Just so I could say I have the only one from that year? If for example it was some uber version of an R and they only made a few that year it’d be a very different story. It’s a similar case to when only a few cars are produced in a very undesirable color. For most people the fact that there aren’t many doesn’t all of a sudden make them want the color they don’t like. Rare doesn’t always mean desirable. Value goes up only when more people want something than there are of the item.

From a collectors POV there is.

Fast forward several decades - one is interested in obtaining a S550 model GT350 (non R model) at auction; the possible model options are:

'15 Track Pack
'15 Technology Pack
'16 Base model
'16 Track Pack
'16 Technology Pack
'17 Base model
'17 Electronics Pack
'17 Convenience Pack
'18 Base model
'18 Electronics Pack
'18 Convenience Pack

I suspect certain model options will be deemed more desirable than others. Things like whether it has Recaros, what's the sill plate style, or does it have toggle switches may all be discriminators. Who knows. I would say, if it is a '15 Track Pack, it will be on the top of the desirability list, being the first year and low number production.

Agreed Zombo
And we'll be in our wheelchairs at the home, crapping ourselves and saying "damn I should've kept that thing"
My original point was not that I thought the 2- 2015's would've commanded six figures but I would've thought maybe 75ish even though they're Techs.
I'm not a collector so my finger isn't on the pulse of the 350 market by any means.
So in the end we saw what a 2015 was worth to someone in Scottsdale last night

Not sure i'd expect 6 figures. a VERY clean '69 428CJ Mach1 that had been on presentation at Ford shows, and was in some apparently big name collection and was kept up by a popular restoration shop only went for 130K.

I would have expected a LITTLE higher than 65-70 for a '15 though from people that would like to just put them in their collection, but maybe most that would be interested already have a 15 though. Or only want an R.

When you throw in the buyers fee, they paid ~13K more than MSRP. That's not too bad, considering they are not "collectables".

I think a preliminary announcement said $56,495. Funny, same as a '16 GT350 Track Pack.
No announcement at all has been made. Currently people are speculating based on PP2 pricing.

Since the 2015 GT350's came out some 2 1/2 years ago collectors of these cars have become a lot more selective on which 2015's they want and suggest that you are correct when it comes to each of the Tech Pack and Track Pack cars and their respective desirablity.

Based on conversations with some individuals that want these 2015 GT350's they all pretty much prefer the Track Pack cars due to the much larger rear wing, the Recaro seats along with the 3 coolers for the rear end, transmission and engine.

Many collectors also want 1 of 1 color/stripe/roof combinations which was certainly not the case with the Oxford White car as it as 1 of 16 with the Shadow Black car being 1 of 4.

As well the consignor had a very poor time slot which was near the end of the night and also to consign 2 Tech Pack cars back to back was certainly not in his best interest especially on a "No Reserve" agenda.
